Description:

In this Good Friday meditation, we will continue our practice of stepping through the events of Good Friday in detail. Tonight we come to the totally dysfunctional and malicious trial of Jesus held at the palace of Caiaphas the chief priest. We will analyze the dialogue of the trial and notice the total lack of the pursuit of justice, but rather the shameless intent of conviction. We will marvel as our Lord shows His unswerving obedience to the will of the Father by voluntarily offering the condemning evidence, even after the best efforts of the Sanhedrin to convict Him had failed. In the end, we will prepare our hearts for Communion knowing that Jesus overshadowed justice with mercy and voluntarily went to the Cross for us as a result of the trial at the den of thieves.
